We designed this website for a vacation rental property located in Helena – Montana’s capitol city. The site contains an extensive photo gallery, a virtual tour, guest comments and links to a 3rd party booking calendar.

While developing the website, we also scheduled an evening photo shoot. We spent approximately 5 hours photographing the interior and exterior of the mansion to ensure that guests who were considering booking the vacation home would be able to see all aspects of the property.

We were also able to work with the Montana Historical Society to obtain turn of the century photographs of the home before it was renovated.

Rivers To Peaks sells land, residential and commercial properties throughout Gallatin County in Montana. They required a web platform that would have an attractive, easy to use layout, be search engine friendly and would allow them to update properties on a regular basis. The real estate market in the ski resort town of Big Sky, MT is very competitive. When Dillon, Montana fly fishing outfitter, Justin Hartman needed a cost-effective website, we immediately thought of the benefits a WordPress powered website could offer him. Our involvement with this project stemmed from logo, business cards and other identity work we had completed for him.

We already knew Justin has style and is fun to work with, so when he gave us the go-ahead on his web project, the creative wheels just started spinning! Sweet Pea Landscaping is a landscape contractor in Bozeman, Montana. The retail side of the business is Sweet Pea’s Nursery and Garden Center. The companies required a web solution that could portray both sides of the business equally, without a feeling of disconnect between the two.

The client wanted to ensure that visitors understood that there were two sides to the business. It was equally important that visitors understand that because of their experience in landscaping in high-altitude climates, they were very well equipped to offer local gardening advice and purchasing knowledge.

We chose to create a design that would clearly indicate what area of the website you were in through visual means. Whenever a visitor is in the landscape side of the website, they are shown different navigational options that they receive in the nursery side of the website. The web visitor can switch to the other side of the business by clicking tabs that are always highly-visible on every page.

Since the nursery’s content is primarily retail and marketing in nature, the content encapsulated within the landscape sections are primarily informational. We developed several methods to generate leads for the landscape business, and focused most of our attention in the nursery toward encouraging users to sign up for their e-mail DealFlyer.

Landscape contractors (and especially nurseries) are a very competitive market in Bozeman, Montana, so it was imperative that the website rank well in search engines. Much of our search optimization was focused on local keywords such as “garden center in Bozeman, MT” or “irrigation installer in Bozeman, MT“. By doing our homework and identifying desireable, high-value keywords, we were able to ensure that the Sweet Pea Landscaping website would never be without visitors interested in their products and services.

A plumbing and heating contractor located in Bozeman, MT, Harvey’s needed a website design that would complement their new branding as they began to focus on renewable and sustainable energy.

Coming into the project, we learned that Harvey’s had already developed an administrative control panel that would allow them to update their original website. However, between the time that the original site had been developed, and our involvement in the project, the company’s marketing goals had shifted significantly.

We consulted with Harvey’s and encouraged them to allow us to begin writing website copy around their new goals and strongest product offerings. We were then able to develop a new site design while leveraging the existing (and paid for) content management system that would allow them to perform their own updates to the website.

This project is an excellent example of how by careful planning we were able to avoid charging the client for technology that had already been developed.

A WordPress blog theme for a Bozeman, MT based golden retriever breeder. Using a blog platform ensured that the client would be able to update their website with information and photos very quickly and easily.

Instead of attempting to photograph all 13 puppies from the 2009 litter together, we chose to combine individual portraits into one large image. By placing each individual puppy into a simple, home-made light tent, we were able to digitally composite all of the littermates into one large image.
